The Times-Picayune reported Friday that the city may get Microsoft to provide a free software and hardware and hardware upgrade for City Hall and the Police department. The saying that applies here is "Never look a gift horse in the mouth" — especialally when the gift is given by a convicted horse theif.

If the city accepts the gift (which looks likely) they will end up in a few years with either old software or looming upgrade fees and subscription costs.
